Practicing focus stacking on a very small mushroom. This mushroom is less than an inch high. I had to set up the tripod just off the ground then used a focus stacking rail to move the camera a small amount between pictures. It took a long time to take the 180 individual pictures used to create this image. Even using a very aperture (f2.8) the mushroom is very sharp in the sea of surrounding moss. Of course I took more than one pass at the mushroom so there were a lot of pictures deleted!!
