Ribbon Dancer

Austin, TX - 06 Sep 2012

This was a fun experience - the Blue Lapis Light Performers dangled off the very high beams of the Long Center in Austin. Wrapped in silk it is amazing to see them 20 to 30 feet up in the air with only a silk cloth to hold them. I donated to the troupe to be able to photograph the practice prior to the opening performance. As there were no spectators it was easy to move about. This woman seems to be suspended in air and not even troubled by the feat. Very high ISO and small aperture was used as there was very little light.
