Terrace Walls

Sacred Valley, Peru - 12 Apr 2024      See on Google Maps

The Moray Archaeological Site in Peru is unusual, the use of the depressions is uncertain, but their depth, design, and orientation with respect to wind and sun creates a temperature difference of as much as 9 degrees Fahrenheit between the top and the bottom.

The terraces are 6-8 feet high and form a circle and some unusual arcs. In this photograph I am focusing on the patten of the terraces

I used my travel lens (24-105mm) to capture this image. It was a bright day so it was easy to keep the ISo low and still handhold the photograph.
