Flower of Many Colors

Highlands, NC - 09 Sep 2023      See on Google Maps

During the Highlands Dahlia Festival I experimented with my macro lens using focus stacking. Focus stacking is taking multiple pictures each at a different point of focus. Then combining the pictures into one which has everything in focus. This picture is one of the experiments.

Using a midpoint f-stop and a higher ISO to get a fast shutter I would take about 10 pictures for each photograph.

Of course the beautiful natural colors are beautiful close up.
