Shooting fireworks is challenging - trying new things. Recently I have been trying compositions close to the explosion. It is more difficult as the fireworks do not all explode in the same spot in the sky.

Sure enough as the fireworks went up they were not in the same location for tight shots - so I had to follow them and set the tripod once they slowed and exploded.This one exploded prior to getting the tripod locked down. The result in the picture is the wavy lines before I locked the tripod - make it a neat composition - the type of firework is beautiful.
