Painting with Flowers

Cheapside, TX - 12 Apr 2019      See on Google Maps

On a ranch in the Texas Hill Country there were many beautiful wildflowers on a hillside. Because of the hill I could shoot from a tripod straight into a group of flowers. This allowed me to focus on a single flower with a shallow depth of field to make that flower the subject and the colors of the other flowers a canvas. Due to the shallow depth of field and the colors I think it looks like a painting. The aperture is wide open to create the shallow depth of field.
