Little Guanaco

San Pedro, Chile - 03 Oct 2018      See on Google Maps

In the Atacama Desert we saw plenty of Guanaco. This group had a small one who was very frisky. I took several pictures of the little one racing around and playing with another Guanaco. Then the little one rested its head on a bigger one - maybe mom. We spent a lot of time watching them and our patience paid off - although Virginia Ann and the other in our group were grumbling a bit. This was taken with a long telephoto and a fairly fast speed as I was trying to freeze the little one when she was active.
