Dark Dune

We arrived at the great Sahara desert late in the afternoon. I immediately collected my gear and headed into the sand. Hiking a ways from camp to see dunes in every direction I waited for the sun to get a little lower. With the sun low the shadows expanded and the wind picked up - you can see a little sand blowing on the lip of the dune. No tripod - but plenty of light so an easy picture and a high shutter speed.
