Offerings
Leh, India - 21 Aug 2019 See on Google Maps
While on a trip to Kashmir, India - the eastern portion called Ladakh we visited several monasteries. This was taken in the assembly hall of the Likir Monastery. In one corner were the offerings the small statues are made of butter. Of course the butter and candles are not a good mix but often together. As we were inside the ISO is bumped all the way to 6400 and I was hand held so the speed needed to be at least 1/30 of a second - I used my wide angle (wide open at 16mm) so the speed of the shot could be much slower than my normal travel lens.
