Diamond Back
Madera Canyon, AZ - 26 Apr 2014 See on Google Maps
While on a workshop with Arizona Highways a professional snake wrangler came by with several dangerous snakes. This one was my favorite as he would simply coil up and be menacing - the others tried to run away. I was not in danger - well too much - as I had my 400mm. I was 10-15 feet away in taking this picture. However, I was on my stomach, so moving out of his way would have been difficult. Because i was on the ground I had good support for a steady shot. One of my favorite pictures.
