Inside an Orchid

Highlands, NC - 22 Aug 2020

While taking a course with Arizona Highways PhotoScapes on macro photography I learned focus stacking and how to use extension tubes. I liked flowers and mushrooms during the course, so for the final judged picture I needed something to photograph. In the grocery store I purchased an orchid due to the complex flower shape and color. Setting up the flower in the house I put several extension tubs on the camera and a focus stacking rail to go inside the orchid. This is the orchid anther in 32 individual pictures then combined into this final photograph.
