Those Eyes

Walking in the forest on the French Mountain in northern Madagascar I spotted a Northern Madagascar Velvet gecko on a tree - they camouflage well on the trees so they typically freeze when you are close. I had a long lens on the camera so was able to get very close without getting close and capture his eyes. Smaller aperture to capture detail meant a very high ISO and handheld also meant a faster shutter speed.
