Leh, India - 21 Aug 2019 See on Google Maps
Up early in Leh, India to see the sun over the Himalayas. I could not see the mountains from our room so I scampered up to the roof of the hotel - which thankfully was flat and used as a place for equipment. I set up my tripod and used my longest lens to zoom in on the peaks as the sun rose. I kept the ISO low to get as sharp a picture as possible which meant a a long shutter speed - but the mountains were not moving fast. I took several photographs as the sun touched the mountains to ensure I captured the light as it advanced.
