Purple Top
Phoenix, AZ - 13 Feb 2020 See on Google Maps
It is fun to use a macro lens at the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden. I came upon this cactus with curious buds at the top of a prickly branch. The purple against the green stood out. I was hand holding in aperture priority - allowing the camera to pick the shutter speed. Since there was good light the ISO is low and this lens is great so a very low aperture. Also the low aperture reduced the clutter of the spines in the background. The spines lead your eyes to the purple top.
