Machu Picchu
Sacred Valley, Peru - 13 Apr 2024 See on Google Maps
The view from the terraces toward Huayna Picchu the taller mountain and Huchuy Picchu the smaller peak. Machu Picchu is the name of the mountain the site sits on. During its use as a city, it is estimated that about 750 people lived there.
The are two llamas grazing on the terraces to the right. It is difficult to stop taking pictures as Machu Picchu is so beautiful.
I used a wide angle lens (16-35mm) for several shots. I carried it specifically for these pictures. It was a cloudy so I needed to bump up the ISO to increase the speed for handheld (no tripods allowed) shots.
