General Grant

West Point, NY - 24 Apr 2019      See on Google Maps

Virginia Ann and I were visiting West Point, NY and happened to be there the day that a new statue was unveiled. Ulysses S. Grant was a 1843 West Point graduate - he is portrayed in his four-star uniform of the Union Army during the Civil War. I had my travel lens to take pictures of the campus so it was great to take a picture during this event. It was sunny so stepped down the exposure a stop and also shot wide open to blur the trees which were just behind the statue.
