Colorful Reptile

Reptile Park, Madagascar - 17 May 2022      See on Google Maps

Hunting chameleons in the Reptile Park in the countryside of Madagascar was a real challenge. Then after spotting a few it go easier. Despite the stereotype they do not blend into the foliage that well - and they are not all that tiny. This is a Panther Chameleon so called because of his spots - not sure he looks all that panther like. Beautiful scales. I got very close, they do not move quickly, and used a macro lens to capture the detail. High shutter speed as I was handheld - had to move the ISO up due to the shutter speed and low light.
