Bee Study
Highlands, NC - 01 Aug 2020 See on Google Maps
The summer of COVID I spent a lot of time at the botanical gardens in Highlands, NC and hiking looking for good compositions. While at the botanical garden I noticed a number of bees on the cone flowers. They were moving about quickly so I increased the speed of the shutter to stop the action. I also opened up the aperture to narrow the depth of focus so just the bee was in focus. The 100mm Macro is a great lens and auto focus is very fast which is important for the busy bees.
